When the first rays of sun hit my face a thankful smile comes across my face; immediately I feel a sense of relief pour into my body. Standing in the sun beam my breath deepens into my belly and as I open my eyes\u00a0 I experience a whole new view of life.\u00a0 The dark days of winter are over and the sunshine is welcoming me out into the world again.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/ts2.mm.bing.net\/th?id=H.5064725217872393&amp;pid=1.7&amp;w=157&amp;h=183&amp;c=7&amp;rs=1\" \/>It is amazing how much our environment affects our outlook on life. Often times we get so accustomed to our surroundings that we don\u2019t even see how much it weighs us down until it the weight is lifted one day.\u00a0\u00a0 Is life weighing you down?<\/p>\n<p>This weight shows up in many ways, sometimes it show up in your environment as a world wind of to-do\u2019s and responsibilities you just can\u2019t get on top of.\u00a0 Other times it shows up physically as fat, fat that covers up the real you and makes you feel powerless unable to get the weight off no matter what you do?\u00a0 Then other times it\u2019s a negative Nelly in your head telling you that something anything is wrong with you and not matter how much better you try to fix it all, it simply will not shut up. These are just a few normal ways we \u201chandle\u201d the \u201cdark winters\u201d in our lives.<\/p>\n<p>In mid-May there seemed to be no end in sight to the cold, dark and dreary days of winter for us up here in Alaska.\u00a0 My friends are at their wits end and planning to move to warmer climates.\u00a0 Memorial Day the sun was up and everyone was feeling blessed about how great Alaska is. \u00a0And the only thing that shifted was the season.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/ts1.mm.bing.net\/th?id=H.4775570863490172&amp;pid=1.7&amp;w=341&amp;h=79&amp;c=7&amp;rs=1\" \/>Is it time for a season change in your life? It is normal to get comfortable in the dark. You are smart and equipped with generations of built in survival skills.
