Spiritual Awakening: Buying Honor
Is it buying an honor when colleges spend thousands of dollars hyping their athletes for The Heisman Trophy? Is is buying an honor when The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society base their Man and Women of The Year on the amount of money they brought in? Is it buying an honor when The American Cancer Society requires someoneone to raise $1500 to be recognized as a Star Supporter?
My answer is no. I ask this question as I recently approached someone about being honored at The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards and was told “That is buying an honor and I will not be accepting the honor,” I asked about purchasing a ticket for $75 as was told “That won’t be happening.” I explain the concept this way you are not buying a honor you are accpting the honor and to show your support for our effort to raise money for The Reaching Out To Cancer Kids Program you are buying your ticket and then asking others to purchase a ticket to support the cause and celebrate with you. On March 24, 2012 The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards will be taking place at Unity Church in Pompano Beach, Fl from 9 AM – 4 PM. Our line up of speakers are Dr. Mia Merritt, Sarah Spiritual, Rev. Dr. Dee Adio-Moses, Ernest Chu, and Ken Esrig. We will have chance drawings and opportunities to network. This is a great deal for $75 and you would think people would want to be honored and support this effort. The criteria for honorees is that they have made a significant contribution to their community, I.E. one of our recipients Sara Doctofsky of The Professional You who is helping children learn skills to enhance theor chances of a posoitive career path.
Sarah Doctofsky epitomizes the ideals of giving back and being a spiritual entrepreneur.
Another recipient is Allison Turner whose art work and inspirational messages through Pathway To Mind and Spirit asssit people on their spiritual journey.
Allison Turner is a tru leader in her field whose spiritual essence is contagious and lifts you up.
Two more of our honorees are Leslie Bruce and Karen Goldberg Rapport-Binett from Feel the Hugs.
Karen and Leslie show sisterly love that transcends lives.
