Spiritual Awakening: Winning Isn’t Everything It Is The Only Thing

One of my favorite coaches in football history is Vince Lombardi. Though I never saw him coach I have  watched tape, read books, and listened to interviews and many of his quotes  resonate with me. One quote he is creditted with is Winning Isn’t Everything It Is The Only Thing.  To me this means that in all you do you should set a goal of winning. In our spiritual path we should set out to win by being of service and value and thus we will reap the rewards that go along with this philosophy.  As I count down the days to The Spiritual Entreprenuers Visionary Awards I am reminded that Together Everyone Accomplishes More. Together we will provide a day of Empowerment and Inspiration while raising funds to help kids with cancer. In this case winning is the  only thing as we can create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Some tratits that go into winning.

To be a winner  you need to:

1: Prepare to win- In many cases this is being able to send and receive messages to enhance the lives of those around you

2: Practice your craft- Everyday you hone your skills you will improve

3: Give back to the community- A small bit of assistance can change the life of those that you come in contact with

4:Be kind- Showing compassion will ender you to others

5: Take risks- when you step out of your comfort zone you expand and good thibgs happen

 

Spiritual Awakening: People With A Winning Attitude

I chose Vince Lombardi today because his philosophy on coaching translates so well to life. He embraced a winning attitude. He cultivativated an atmosphers of winning. All of the honorees of The Spiritual Entreprenuers Visionary Awards exemplify a winning attitude. They have demostrated that winning is created by having a  strong willto prepare to win.

In the interest of sharing about myself being totally humble without ego or boasting, I was one of the first architects of the Internet once it became known as the World Wide Web, aka www. I became a webmaster almost before that term was coined for those who design websites. In fact though I was one from the beginning with my already existing computer and software knowledge, it took me a while to be comfortable with that term. I worked for 3 Internet companies before going on my own in 2001 when the DotCom crash occurred. In working on my own I  did contract with a couple more as well. I have been involved in most every aspect of the Internet and experienced all the changes it has gone through. I am knowledgeable in all aspects of your Internet presence, especially in what to do and how to get your site up quickly and productively. Also in respect to marketing yourself and getting traffic to your site.

Going Back Further:

I have been involved in computer technology since 1977 when I was first experimenting and building my own simple circuits mostly with integrated circuit chips (IC Chips). In 1982 I got my first home computer an Atari 800. Some (I would) call it the best home computer on the market for the time. Competitors were Radio Shack’s TRS 80, one from Timex and a couple others. After using that for about 3 or 4 years, I got my first PC which ran DOS (Disk Operating System). By 1991 I got an Amiga home computer, mostly known in Europe but was the first home computer be able to do Video Production which is what I used it for. Mostly for adding titles and animations to the videos I shot and edited using 2 S-VHS decks with and edit controller. I was contracted with the local cable company, who is now Comcast, but at the time, Broward Cable, whereI was hired to shoot comission meetings, parades, rodeos and other special events and some in studio shoots when they needed. I also networked with others who used the Video Toaster. Known now in the industry as the revolutionary change that moved the $20,000+ video production studio to a $5000 box. The Video Toaster was used for the TV show Seaquest 2032 starring Roy Scheider also back in 1993 – 1996.

In 1995 the Internet went commercial. This came about because of the fall of the Soviet Union and the computer network that it was, had been previously called ARPAnet (Advanced Research Projects Agency network). It was originally designed to be a communication network that would survive a nuclear war. It was being used at the time strictly for educational institutions for exchange of research data and government agencies for communication and documentation over distances. Ironically email was an afterthought of the project. When the Soviet Union collapsed, the network began being used for commerical purposes and the name chnaged. When I learned of the “birth” of the “Internet” and the protocol of the “World Wide Web” being available to utilize links and images as well as the possibilities of multimedia, it was clear to me  once connection speed increased that video would be a great way for broadcasts to be done in the future. With my computer and understanding of some of information technology I became aware through a friend of the power of building websites for clients.

I have been through many transitions and projects since I first began and after making big changes in my life, the biggest one in recently meeting my Soulmate have started Namaste Websites. I am about helping people who want to get their passions out there to do so in the best way that is true to who they are. That is what I am now doing for myself more than I ever was, but was always about helping people, but doing so in a better way now for both me and my clients.

Octavia Trimm’s transformation is inspirational as she went from a near death experience to being fully awake and now helps others to fufill their potential.

Octavia has lived in Weston Florida for 11 years. Octavia has always volunteered in her community speaking to children and people in need. She recently volunteered her time to serve on the board of Directors as Treasurer for Around the World in Weston. Their mission was to promote cultural awareness in an around the community. In addition, she also worked as Entertainment Program Director helping coordinate the events for her committees.

With 27 years of corporate business experience and international travel, her insights are invaluable. She has worked as a Technology Professional with the following large companies: Dow Jones & Company Inc., IBM, EDS and NCR.

Octavia is a Healing and Restorational  Speaker who offers real world business experience with a straight talking and inspiring approaches to solving problems. She was asked to be a trauma spokesperson in 1990 for St. Mary Trauma Center to inspire trauma patients and give them hope, after she herself was severely injured and remained disabled, but not discouraged, that she would walk again after the effects of her tragedy. She remained hospitalized from Oct 1988 to 1990 and was still not able to walk. Octavia underwent 8 MORE major surgeries on her left leg which was suppose to be amputated. She suffered from severe pain from massive swelling and nerve damage on all joints and limbs. She suffered with internal injuries as well as massive multiple cracks in her pelvic. Her face and left eye were shattered with glass fragments which also required 4 operations to remove glass from behind her eyes and orbital areas and repair the skin. In 1994, she received one of the first porcelain Teflon hip replacements which allowed her to walk after being wheel chair bound. This freedom enabled her to continue to pursue her dreams of assisting and inspiring others. She is an Artist of many visions. Her hearts passions are made up of various “Heavenly Doors” that reflect how she views the world seen through her eyes for others. Her mission is to be a vivacious woman, one who cherishes life. A woman who hears the harmonies that blend within her own soul and heart. Her power lies strongly in responsibility. She loves to surround herself with the conditions that she wishes, so she can create and therefore have everything she needs to be successful and independent according to her values and purpose. She strongly considers the welfare of others too a master in production. She is empowered by, and it is honored to be, generous in offering or reproducing security, stability, and protection by virile and reliable example. Her assets are perennial trust, respect, and validation that is well deserved. She believes that you can overcome any of your adversities and has the exact message to help you “Renew the Butterfly within you”!
