Spiritual Awakening: Motivation Through Music

It only taes 45 seconds to change your vibrational energy. One great way to change you vibrational energy and to create a positive force around you is to use music. I have found songs like the one abpve can help to change a sate of mind and alleviate the negative frequencies. The use of music in your daily life as you live in the present moment will help you to create the life you desire. Music is very powerful and influential as it evokes all types of emotions.

Even The Cookie Monster knows the power of music. Sometime by shutting off the world you find yourself receiving messages that will help you change the world.

Spiritual Awakening: Music Therapy

What is Music Therapy?

Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music  interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic  relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an  approved music therapy program.

Music Therapy is an established health profession in which music is  used within a therapeutic relationship to address physical, emotional,  cognitive, and social needs of individuals. After assessing the  strengths and needs of each client, the qualified music therapist  provides the indicated treatment including creating, singing, moving to,  and/or listening to music. Through musical involvement in the  therapeutic context, clients’ abilities are strengthened and transferred  to other areas of their lives. Music therapy also provides avenues for  communication that can be helpful to those who find it difficult to  express themselves in words. Research in music therapy supports its  effectiveness in many areas such as: overall physical rehabilitation and  facilitating movement, increasing people’s motivation to become engaged  in their treatment, providing emotional support for clients and their  families, and providing an outlet for expression of feelings.

If you find yourself having some challenges perhaps finding music that will help you change your mood or help you to focus can assist you. The Following are ten songs that come to mind to help me make a positive shift.

The Rocky Theme is always a great motivator and helps to set the tone.

The Newsies had the right idea of seizing the day as they express it in this song which motivates people to make the best of the day.

Music reminds us to dream like this song from Man of La Mancha. Most view Don Quixote as a heretic and a lunatic however he shows the power of dreams through the music he sings.

One singular sensation was the most performed song on Broadway during the run of A Chorus Line and left audiences motivated and filled with joy.

The Newsboys show their devotion to God in this song which reaffirms the belief that God Lives Inside of us and will help us to step into our greatness.

Josh Groban delivers a great message with his song You Lift Me Up. Music can be a great lifter and will help you to lift others.

Spiritual Awakening: Tuning Into The Music Around Us

Through out my travels I have the pleasure of stopping at many places that play music in their establishments and I always spend a little extra time to tune in and listen to the music. Many times emotions are evoked that help me work through challenges of the day or help me to put things in a new perspective. I often find myself lapsing into my radio voice and announcing the music to myself. I have found that music can be a great motivator.  Some ways to use music is to calm yourself, to help in the grieving process, to get pumped up for a special event, a work out, a presentation or to wind down after a busy day.  I like to use the following song to reflect.

The greatest thing after the storm is the rainbow and knowing that Somewhere Over The Rainbow lies a great vast space ready for our creative greatness to unfold.

Many times it is the quiet music that helps use to become centered and balanced and to come from a place that will create peace, love, and happiness in ourselves and in others.

Spiritual Awakening: Music That Motivates

Amy Barbera delivers a powerful message through her new song Walking On The Stars. This song motivates and inspires me to remind you that you can walk on the stars as you are a star and you shine bright on those you come in contact with.

Kansas reminds us with this song that we are dust in the wind and to cherish all of our days on earth

Cat Stevens helps to set the tone for the day with this song. Music has a way of making you realize how grateful you should be for the things we have such as a new day to make a difference in the world.

SPIRITUAL AWAKENING: THE CLOSING SONG

I chose this as the closing song as it reminds us that we have only just begun and each day is a new day to find music that motivates us. What songs motivate you?
