Spiritual Awakening: Where Is The Strangest Place You Received A Message?
I have received messages in many forms and in many places, however this morning I received a message from the strangest place of all my toilet in my bathroom. There I was I had just finished my business and went to flush and the chain leading from the handle to the flapper had broken. At first I looked up to heaven and asked GOD why? I then figure out how to get the toilet to flush, called Total( My service repair provider), and then the answer came to me, the message was to break the chains that are holding me back and to take the day for much needed introspection. As I mentioned in an earlier entry signs are all around us and it is importnat to seek the meanings of the messages contained in the signs. This prompted me to aske everyone where is the Strangest Place You Received A Message?
The messages we receive from GOD come in all sahpes, sizes, and in many strange places, however it is when we begin to understand the messages that we are receiveing that we begin to create a flow and the vibration necessary to connect with GOD and create the life we desire. It is said that which you focus on expands. Think about what you are focusing on and how things are happening and then look for the messages that may be coming to you in many cases in what you would consider a little strange.
Right after the chain on the toilet broke this song came on my Pandora and I strated to think okay God I get it you are giving me the 2 x 4 treatment to tell me to break the chains that may be holding me back and to share this experience with everyone to encourage them to break their chains and to remind them to look for messages. Through out the day there have been many messages to reinforce the orginal message contained in the chain on the toilet breaking.
As I reflected and began my own introspection I began to realize we are born free and over time we tend to forget that it is us with guidance of GOD that we remain FREE. I then strated to look at what takes away our freedom.
1: Giving Control to others for about 18 years of our life- In these 18 years and sometimes beyond we buy into the ways we should be and many times the person GOD intended us to become doesn’t shine through until one day we awaken and head the messages that GOD had a plan for us and now we must seek the path and follow his plan. God gave you talents to use for good so you could be a shining light to others.
2: Listening to the nay sayers- how many times have you gotten a message to do something you shared your thoughts with someone and they totally poo pooed your thought and you didn’t move forward. Let go of the nay sayers they do not serve you if you get a message and you believe it is in your best interest and that your actions will be of service and value to others then act upon the message.
3: Thinking we are not good enough – how many times did you ask as a child to do something only to be told you are not good enough. This happened to me when I ran on the cross country team, they had to let me on the team as there are no cuts in middle school. I showed up to practice everyday and as the year went on I improved at the end of the season we won districts by one point and the coach said the reason we won is because Jon finished the course. I took the lesson of never giving up and always doing your best from this experience to go on to excel academically and athletically. Don’t ever let anyone say you are not good enough.
4: FEAR – this facet of life is both positive and negative as their is good fear and bad fear. It is the bad fear that paralyzes us and stops us from taking action for example the fear of losing it all and having to start over stops many people from going ahead with plans to excel and enhance their personal and professional life and at the end of their life they talk about how they wish they would have. My dad always says would of, should of, and could of are what holds us back. Don’t let fear hold you back.
This is a song titled Break Every Chain and it is the fitting final message about breaking the chains that are holding you back. The message all started in a strange place however it continued throughout the day and is reinforced with this song.
