Spiritual Awakening: Dionne Warwick Reminds Us Of What Friends Are For!!!
This is a wonderful reminder of what our friends are for. Friends are those people who regardles of the situation will come through for you. In today’s social media world we count our facebook friends but how many of them can you call upon in a time of need and have them respond in a positive manner to you. How many twitter followers when hearing of your endeavors with take action to support your causes. How many of those people on linkedin will take the time to call just to say hey I was thinking about you. The idea is that when you have that spiritual awakening you begin to realize that as a friend who recognizes others divinity you stand by them in their times of joy and in their times of sorrow becaue that is what friends are for.
Friends can get together and support eachother in times of joy and times of sorrow. You find out who your true friends are when you put out a notice about your mother dying and all of a sudden condoleence cards come in the mail and many show at her funeral to give you a shoulder to cry on an encouraging word. I was very fortunate that I had friends who came through in a big way and I am grateful to each of them for helping me through the tough time that I ad when my mother passed. You also find out who your friends are when you put on an event and ask them for support and they come through. Recently I found out a lot about friendship as I sought donations to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays and out of over 2000 facebook friends I had 11 friends visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogglederman and make donations. I was asking every friend that was not already involved with Relay For Life to visit and make a donation of whatever they were comfortable with and was very surprised to find out all the excuses of why they weren’t going to donate. I was upset at first and then I shifted my energy and realized that those meant to give would give and those that didn’t give may have had other programs they support. I found out that many people will profess to be a friend until you ask them for a $1 to support your cause while at a trade show. Real friends find a way to help eachother.
Spiritual Awakening: Friends Being Of Service And Value To Each Other
As I listened to this song by Queen I began to think friends that make you live and are there for you when times are cruel are the friends that are of service and value to each other. When friends begin to support eachother and promote eachother without expectation of anythig in return great things begin to happen and everyone begins to prosper. I always offer those thatt I am friends with the opportunity to post on my blog, post to my facebook group, post on my wall, and to come on my radio show. I was introduced to a book by Bob Burg, The Go Giver, which I think sums up being of service and value to your friends nicely. Think about it you go about making a friend by being of service and value and that friend becomes a client because they need your services and then you recommend others to that friend for their services and before you know it you have created a circle of friendship that is unbreakable. Think about it you are in a finacial position to help a friend’s cause and you do and you let people know you supported this cause in your marketing material and when the friend is in a finacial position to help your cause they do and they promote what you are doing and you get more support.
Spiritual Awakening: Friends Help Each Other to Grow
