During my spiritual awakening I have learned that I must do me first then allow the results to fall into place as the universe and GOD intended. I have often been accused as being different and my thought process has been said to be way out there. My answer is so what it works for me. I like to look up and smile at people. This often gets a strange look as many people are not ready to be vulnerable and open as they may have been hurt in the past by doing so and thus they have closed themselves off to what can be a great interaction with others. In doing me of as some people say that is JDOGG being JDOGG I have found that my days are more peaceful, more joyous, filled with more love, and more prosperous than in the past.
One of the anthems I have adopted in the last year is Gloria Gaynor’s, I Am What I AM. In an effort to answer my calling and help other people excel I have suggested that they take out a piece of paper and put their name on the top surrounded by 5 dollar signs on each side, then write the statement I AM followed by 5-10 things that they perceive themselves as. My paper currently looks like this:

Spiritual Awaening: Removing Emotional Baggage
Before we begin to remove emotional baggage we must first define what emotional baggage is.
Emotional baggage can be defined as ‘Painful memories, mistrust and hurt carried around from past sexual or emotional rejection’.[1]
It is an image of ‘a big sack that you carry around with you at all times…[with] every disappointment, trauma, and wrong that you’ve ever experienced….This image, the metaphor of emotional baggage, has penetrated our culture’.[2]
What emotional baggage are you carrying? Well it is now time to unpack and only keep the things in you bag that will serve you and help you become a better person personally and professionally.
It is time gto throw that suitcase away and release the emotional baggage that may be holding you back. We all have had pain for some it is physical, some mental, and for some both. The events of our life that we couldn’t control can no longer be allowed to control us. What ever the painful memory is it is time to find a way to let it go for when you let it go and release your emotional baggage you can move forward. Many times we hold onto to things emotionally and we find ourselves in a rut because we have associated all these negative emotions with the situation. It is time to become an action taker and do something to remove the emotional baggage. It can be as easy as adopting a new song to help you get over the situation and remove the emotional baggage. This blog entry was inspired by Abba’s song, Thank You For The Music. As I listened to the lrics I began to ask what is the song you want the world to hear and be thankful to you for singing? What positive message will you be able to deliver to the world? I began to think of the songs that I listen to for inspiration. I have my top 10 ranked later in this entry. We all have a song to sing and I encourage you to sing yours loud so the entire world will hear and be moved by you to take action. It is when you sing your song that you shine your light and inspire and empower others to do the same.

Spiritual Awakening: Finding Your Song
I use the word song to encompass all talents that you posses. How do I find my song(purpose) is a question I am asked so many times when I am helping people with media and marketing relations. Each of us has a calling( a song) and once we find that calling great things begin to unfold. Whatever you are being called to do at this moment to be a shining light and to sing your song embrace it and watch the greatness unfold. There are many ways to find your song.

For me I enjoy helping people get the word out so I became The Spiritual Eemcee Maximizing Your Message. I provide a service taht everyoen with a business needs, the ability to get media attention. I surround myself with others that support my mission, such as providing a great event with The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards, which will be held on 3/24/12 at Unity Church in Pompano Beach from9 AM – 4 PM. MY song is one of hope and inspiration. Through my ability to plan projects, bring people together, and help kids with cancer I have been able to further the mission and sing my song.

I found my song when I looked deep inside and realized that I am a child of God and God’s Purpose for me is to Help Others Excel. Once I accepted this purpose things in my life began to change for the good. There have been challenges and I have been scared but I have been singing my song loudly wherever I go. I have wondered where money will come from, and then I remembered if I sing my song the money will come and it has eachtime I have sung my song.
When I need inspiration and motivation I look to quotes and pictures and then I continue to sing my song.
