Spiritual Awakening: Going The Distance!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Going The Distance!!!

Sometimes in order to truly embrace the spiritual awakening process you have to look at things from a distance to get the proper perspective. Today I went to the bank again to drop of my DAD’S death certificate as they needed the original so as to get the ball rolling on getting whatever money was left in the account. When I went on Wednesday (7/3/2018) I had a copy. It is like pulli8ng teeth when you are not a named beneficiary so I stepped back and simply let go and let GOD learning to tell people that if they have an elderly parent to make sure that you are put on all their accounts so that if they meet their demise things are made easier.  Today I learned just how important it is to go the distance in all that you do as it relates to your personal, professional, and spiritual life. In making a commitment to go the distance you will find yourself overcoming challenges and manifesting the life that you desire. In committing to going the distance and focusing on taking steps to help you exceed your goals you will find that you attract more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. The first step to going the distance is to become an action taker and to remain aware and awake so as to move forward in a positive direction of your dreams. The second step in going the distance is to find your calling and to live a purpose driven life so that you will become the change that you want to see in this world. The 3rd step of going the distance is to come alive and  find ways to be of service and value to your community that also enhances your personal, professional, and spiritual life.

If you are going to commit to going the distance you will need to find some people to be the wind beneath your wings. In my case my winds beneath my wings were called home to GOD. Yesterday (7/5/2018) marked 6 years that my MOM is gone and 4 weeks that my DAD is gone. Though they are now angels in heaven I know they are looking over me and sending me messages to follow to improve my personal, professional, and spiritual life. They will always be the wind beneath my wings as I continue to go the distance in all that I do. It is important to make sure that you never give up because when you go the distance you achieve some amazing things that will make the angels in heaven proud.

Spiritual Awakening: Moment By Moment!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Moment By Moment!!!

As I watched Villanova capture another NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship I started to think back to their first one when they were the underdogs against a very powerful Georgetown Team and how sports is a great metaphor for life as you have to go moment by moment. Each year I watch One Shining Moment and I think of all the shots made and all the shots missed and how in one moment their is joy on one sideline and on the other sideline the pain of losing and how the people involved in these moments will have their lives changed forever.

See the source imageJay Wright understands all too well about living life moment by moment and being an action taker. In 2001 Wright left Hofstra University as Basketball

Coach to go to Villanova and as they say the rest is history. Jay took his can do positive attitude to Villanova and began to build a championship caliber team which resulted in Villanova winning a National Men’s Basketball Championship for the second time in 3 years. As I watched Jay Wright cut down the nets  I started to think what moments am I creating that will forever be etched in my mind to draw strength from when things get challenging? I then began to  think about how every moment that we have can shape and determine the legacy that we will leave behind. One key question to ponder as we awaken spiritually is what will we be remembered for and how will our legacy be seen by others? In awakening spiritually we need to use all the minutes that we are given to be of service and value to others so as to create a legacy of hope and healing.
