Spiritual Awakening: Building The Motivational Pyramid!!!

Maslow’s Hierarchy Of Needs. Many of us get as high as Esteem Needs and stop never having the spiritual awakening to become self-actualized. To do this we must go deep inside and find our true calling and purpose. We must tap into the creative being that lives inside of us and begin to understand that we are divine children of GOD and his plan is bigger that we can imagine. In an effort to build the motivational pyramid we must become action takers by understanding the messages that are being given to us.

Spiritual Awakening: The Motivational Pyramid Blueprint!!!!

When building  anything you need a blueprint so that you can see what the finished product will look like. The same goes with the spiritual awakening plan as you begin to build your motivational pyramid.

The first level is self motivation for you are the only one that can create what you desire. Start by stating I am motivated to______________________________. I have the power to create. I will move positive in the direction of my desire. Make a list of what motivates you and then create the goals that are realistic and attainable  and post them where you can see them. A great tool is to laminate a business card with your daily, weekly, and monthly goals with your action steps so that you can carry them with you to keep you self motivated.  There will be set backs, however for every set back there is progress to be made. A great way to keep motivated is to keep doing positive things for yourself and being grateful for the positive things. Sometimes all it takes to be self motivated is to change the words we use from I have to or I need to I get to. This small shift changes the way you look at things and creates a positive vibration and a good feeling that you strive to repeat.

The second level of the motivational  pyramid is the encourager level. At this level you begin to surround yourself with people that believe in you and will encourage you on your spiritual journey toward self-actualization. These can be life coaches, counselors, fitness trainers, or colleagues who lift you up. It is important to find encouragers that will serve you and be there through the good times and the challenging times. Encouragers are those who genuinely build you up and will give you direction in a loving and nurturing way. They are the ones who will be honest without being hurtful. They are the ones who will show you a way and let you soar. Sometimes encouragers are found just when they are needed as the universe will conspire to send you the right people to encourage your efforts.

The third level of the motivational pyramid is motivating others. By shining your light and moving forward in the positive direction of your dreams you are giving permission to others to shine their light. By showing people what you have done and how you continue to grow in mind, body, and spirit you motivate them to continue.  By sharing your gifts you motivate others as they see what you are doing and then see that they can do it too.  You can motivate through writing, through speaking, and simply by doing.

Nick Vujicic was born in Melbourne, Australia with the rare Tetra-amelia  disorder: limbless, missing both arms at shoulder level, and having one small  foot with two toes protruding from his left thigh. Despite the absence of limbs,  he is doing surf and swimming, and playing golf and soccer. Nick graduated from college at the age of 21  with a double major in Accounting and  Financial Planning. He began his travels as a motivational speaker, focusing on the topics that today’s teenagers  face.

Ben Underwood was a remarkable teenager, who loved to skateboard, ride his bicycle and play football and basketball. For  the most part, the Californian 14-year-old was just like other kids his age.  What made Underwood remarkable was his ability to master these activities  despite the fact that he was blind. Underwood had both eyes removed after being  diagnosed with retinal cancer at age two. To most people’s amazement upon  meeting him, he seemed completely unfazed by his lack of sight, defying common  stereotypes about blindness as a disability. So how did he do it? The answer is  echolocation: the sonar navigation technique used by bats, dolphins, several  other mammals and some birds. As  Underwood moved about, he habitually made clicking noises with his tongue; these  sounds bounced off surfaces and, with each return, added to Underwood’s  perception of his surroundings.

Theresa Goh Rui Si (Chinese: 吴蕊思; pinyin: Wú Ruǐsī, pronounced [ǔ ʐwèisɨ́]; born 16 February 1987) is a Singaporean Paralympic swimmer. Due to congenital spina bifida, she does not have use of her legs. Nonetheless, she started swimming at the age of five years, and began taking part in competitions at age 12. She soon established herself as a top competitor, winning medals at, among others, the ASEAN ParaGames (2001, 2003, 2005 and 2008), Far East and South Pacific Games Federation for the Disabled (FESPIC) Games (now known as the Asian Para Games) (2002), International Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Sports Federation (ISMWSF) World Wheelchair Games (2003), National Swimming Championships (2004), and International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Swimming Championships (2006).

In March 2007, at the Danish Open in Esbjerg, Denmark, Goh took top honours in the 100 metres breaststroke, 100 metres butterfly, 100 freestyle and 200 metres individual medley. At the 4th ASEAN ParaGames held in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Thailand, in January 2008, Goh broke the record she set in May 2007 at the German International Disability Swimming Championships to win the gold in the 50 metres breaststroke in a world and FESPIC record time of 52.62 seconds. She achieved another gold in the 200 metres freestyle. Goh took part in the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing in the 50 metres, 100 metres and 200 metres freestyle, and in the 100 metres breaststroke.

As you build your motivational pyramid think ask yourself what would one find in my pyramid. Until next time STAY POSITIVE.

He was so good at it that he could tell  the difference between a fire hydrant and a rubbish bin, distinguish between  parked cars and trucks, and — if you took him to a house he had never been to  before — he would tell you he could ‘see’ a staircase in that corner and a  kitchen in the other. He could even distinguish between different materials.

An unflinching faith in God guided Ben and his mother during his last  few months as cancer spread to Ben’s brain and spine. He eventually died on  January 2009 at the age of 16.
