Spiritual Awakening: Looking Back And Moving Forward!!!

Spiritual Awakening:Looking Back And Moving Forward!!!

In the spiritual awakening process one must take a look back in order to move forward.  I always suggest that at the end of the year you do a year in review and reflect on all the good that has happened while also seeing how you  have learned from the perceived bad that has happened.  I recommend that when you look back over the year you remember that the rear view mirror is a lot smaller than the windshield.  As you look back, recall all the great things that occurred in your life remember the feeling that you experience and hold that emotion so that when things get a  bit tough as they sometimes will that you can recall that great feeling and remember how that achievement came to pass or how that happiness was achieved and thus take action to move forward and create more greatness in your life.  In the last 10 years I have always made the Month on December a month of reflection where I hold on to the great things that happened and let go of the challenging things.

One the first things I do to reflect is I put on some soft soothing music get out the note book and begin to write this year I was grateful for……….. This years theses things or events brought happiness to my life…….  This year I faced and overcame these challenges…. In doing this exercise I have  found that I have evolved in my spirituality and as a result have been able to lay a solid foundation to begin the new year in a positive way. As we put 2014 in the rear view mirror  and focus on looking at 2015 we have the opportunity to evaluate that which is serving us and improve upon on it and to eliminate that which no longer serves us.  For those that read this blog you know I collect teddy bears as I was going through some items in my car I cam across a State Farm Teddy Bear and realized that I had no real purpose for keeping it so when the chance came to give it away to a mother with a baby I did and I can tell you it felt great to be able to have a positive reflection and create a positive vibration of kindness. As you look back so that you can move forward look at the small gestures that made a positive impact on your life and the lives of others. That $5 donation made at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2 may seem small to you but for someone being helped by The American Cancer Society it is very big. The spare change given with love to a Salvation Army Bell Ringer may seem small to you but to the man or women who gets a meal at The Salvation Army Shelter is is huge. Remember it is doing the small things with great love that create the ability to move forward.  As you look back cherish the good things and  remove the bad things.

Spiritual Awakening: Building The Motivational Pyramid!!!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Building The Motivational Pyramid!!!

prgrsvimghttp://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.4872263460128479&w=207&h=207&c=8&pid=3.1&qlt=90 In school we all took that required psychology class and what was the one thing that we all remember? Maslow’s Hierarchy Of Needs. Many of us get as high as Esteem Needs and stop never having the spiritual awakening to become self-actualized. To do this we must go deep inside and find our true calling and purpose. We must tap into the creative being that lives inside of us and begin to understand that we are divine children of GOD and his plan is bigger that we can imagine. In an effort to build the motivational pyramid we must become action takers by understanding the messages that are being given to us.

Spiritual Awakening: The Motivational Pyramid Blueprint!!!!

When building  anything you need a blueprint so that you can see what the finished product will look like. The same goes with the spiritual awakening plan as you begin to build your motivational pyramid.

The first level is self motivation for you are the only one that can create what you desire. Start by stating I am motivated to______________________________. I have the power to create. I will move positive in the direction of my desire. Make a list of what motivates you and then create the goals that are realistic and attainable  and post them where you can see them. A great tool is to laminate a business card with your daily, weekly, and monthly goals with your action steps so that you can carry them with you to keep you self motivated.  There will be set backs, however for every set back there is progress to be made. A great way to keep motivated is to keep doing positive things for yourself and being grateful for the positive things. Sometimes all it takes to be self motivated is to change the words we use from I have to or I need to I get to. This small shift changes the way you look at things and creates a positive vibration and a good feeling that you strive to repeat.

Spiritual Awakening: Finding Strength After Superstorm Sandy!!!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Finding Strength After Superstorm Sandy!!!!

As the news broke of millions without electricity and many who lost everything in what is being refered to as Superstorm Sandy I began to wonder where the strength to carry on from the people affected by the storm will come from. I realized that it will come from those who are spiritually intune and understand it is not about fame or glory it is about helping those in need. I read many stories of compassion like the women who hung out a sign I have electric plug in your phone here or the restaurant that cooked for an entire community at no charge. There are many stories of positivity coming out of the devastation. I watched the Steelers-Giants Game on 11/4/12 and the commentators kept saying that The Steelers could have flown in Saturday as the hotel they had orginally booked was available and the team said no use the rooms for those that really need it. The Steelers won 24-20, I think Karma may have played a role showing us that when we sacrifice for others we are rewarded.
