Spiritual Awakening: Knowing When To Hold Them And When To Fold Them!!!!

Along our path to spiritual enlightenment we awaken spiritually by knowing what to hold onto and what to let go. In the spiritual awakening process you will want to become an action taker and decide what actions to take that will serve you and when not to do anything. In the spiritual awakening process it is important to know when to walk away from people, places, and things that are toxic to your health and well being. The hardest part is to detach from the situations that no longer serve you. So many times we hold onto to something thinking oh it will change or this time it will be different. The only way it will change is when you decide to change yourself. Sometimes walking away from the table is the best thing to do as it saves you grief and heartache and allows you to grow personally and professionally.  When you begin to come alive and understand that certain things and certain people are worth holding onto and others need to be let go that you grow mentally and spiritually. In letting things go you open up new channels that enable you to receive.

In making the commitment to allow the spiritual awakening process to take place one must commit to letting go. One way to let go is to purge yourself of those materialistic things that no longer serve you. Many of the materialistic things carry emotional charges and will be hard to let go of for example that expensive watch you bought to show off as you thought it would get you respect. I say sell the watch and do something nice for yourself then look for ways to donate to community projects. It is not about the watch at all it is about being awake and using you power and prosperity in ways to enhance the lives of others. As a result your life will be enriched.

One belief I had to let go of recently was the belief that people will take advantage of you if you give. This was a great lesson in knowing when to hold them and knowing when to fold them. I used to make excuses as why I couldn’t help someone or lend them a hand. Today I do my best to give freely without expectation of return. I have learned that by giving I open up channels to receive.  I know give freely of my gifts and as a result I am rewarded in many ways. There is great pleasure in knowing that through letting go of the idea of what is in it for me and helping others as I find myself happier and filled with much joy, peace, and love.  An exercise you can try this week is to say yes to that which you used to say no to or make excuses about.

In letting go of the past and being in the moment we can prepare for a brighter future. If it no longer serves you get rid of it. One of  the facts of life is that what occurred happened and there is nothing we can do about it. We can use it as a point of reference to learn from it and to move forward along our path to make the mind, body, soul connection.  One exercise you can do this week is to write forgiveness letters to yourself and to others and then set them on fire allowing you to let go and opening up new channels to receive.

In seeking our answers and knowing when to hold them or when to fold them we hold out for a hero and that hero comes to us as we made better choices to hold on to what serves us and to let go of what does not serve us. The idea is to eliminate that which does not bring positivity into your life and to release these things or people. In the flow of our life there will be things we want to hold onto but must let go of in order to allow something or someone better into our life.

Sometimes it is necessary to hold on to that which serves you in a loose manner so that you can control what it is that you seek while searching for peace, love, joy, and prosperity in your life.  Take a moment to reflect daily and hold on to that which serves you and release that which no longer serves you.

Knowing when to hold them and when to fold them we grow in spirit. Stay Positive!!!
