Spiritual Awakening: Dipping The  Apple

 This video is the inspiration behind this blog entry today. As I  bit into a chocolate covered apple from Edible Arrangements I took a moment to really enjoy. I looked out the window and the sun was bright with some rain coming down  the lake and the palm trees brought a smile to my face. I began to think how many times do we go through a day without dipping the apple, not in a literal sense but it a figurative sense.  Taking a moment to dip the apple and being appreciative for the joys and sweetness that come into our lives daily helps to make the mind, body, soul connection. Each day we can stimulate our mind by reading, we can enhance our body through exercise, we can add joy tot he soul by assuming an attitude of gratitude.  We can truly dip our apple and enjoy the sweetness of our spiritual journey.

 I found this video to be very entertaining and it brought a smile to my face and made me realize that it was time to reflect and follow messages that were being sent from GOD. As we enter anew year on The Jewish Calendar remember that you can make a positive difference in your life and the lives of those around you by continuing your spiritual development.  You have a chance to be an action taker and to set in motion positive events when you take time to dip your apple.  When you have your awakening you will realize that there is a greater power than you that will lead you in the direction you were meant to go.

 What actions are you taking to be inscribed into the book of life. One great way to dip your apple is to help others in their charitable causes.  You will notice a donate button on this page and it is my hope that you will answer the calling for help and do waht you can to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.  If things have not been going the way you want you can make a change by dipping your apple and finding the joys to celebrate. You have the opportunity to come alive and help others to come alive by being a beacon of hope to them. Community service is one way to give back and to lead the life that GOD has designed for you and to insure that you are inscribed into the book of life.

As we usher in The Jewish New Year let us be reminded that we have a power inside of us to help others  and to make a positive impact in our lives and the lives we come on contact with.
 It is when we dipour apple and take time for a quiet and peacful moment that we often find the greatest joy.  It is when we go deep inside ourselves that we truly discover how great we are. In many cases it is when we put on reflective music and just allow ourselves to be that we realize how good life is. The sun shine bright, the water ripples in the lake, the palm trees sway in the wind and the messages begin to come in to appreciate what we have and to show gratitude for what has been provided. Though there will be trials and tribulations that will build our character it is important to dip your apple.

 

The singer in this video passed at age 38 from a massive heart attack in 1997. This shows us just how important it is to dip our apple daily. Please share how you are dipping your apple.

Spiritual Awakening: Building MO, Keep On Keeping On

 

Shawn Doyle and Lauren Anderson collobarate on a great book that inspired this blog entry, MO as it explores the lives of everyday people who make the best of their situation and continue to keep on keeping on.  As I interviewed Shawn on 9/3 and Lauren on 9/10 I began to realize that the key to personal development is to be grateful for what you do have and to keep on keeping on. I began to think about all those people who are disgruntled and complain about their circumstances and I feel ike bgrabbing them and saying hey wake up it is not the circumstances, the economy, or others it is you. I know I can not physically do that so I use this blog as an outlet to encourage others to build motivation in their lives and in the lives of others. I am reminded of The Zig Ziglar quote “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily. ” It is in doing something motivational daily that we develop and grow.may times it is jus engaging someone you meet out in public just by saying hello.  I have often stated that I use a 3 foot rule, where if someone is within 3 feet of me I will talk to them. Thank you to Lisa Douglas Past President of The Florida Jaycees for first teaching me this technique.

What is MO?
Most people think that motivation for them is out of reach. They have an average job at an average company. This book is intended to give people hope by shining the light on people who are in average regular jobs but are amazing.
In the book we offer inspiring profiles of a Service Advisor, Hot Dog vendor, Airline Gate Agent, Seafood Market Owner, Construction worker, Seamstress, Fitness Trainer, and a Taxi driver who all have the magic MO! qualities.
These were people in ordinary jobs, but despite that fact, they decided NOT to be ordinary. They performed their jobs brilliantly, exceptionally, differently and exceeded everyone’s expectations of what that job “should” be every day. More importantly everyone around them knows it, sees it and acknowledges it.

Spiritual Awakening: The Spiritual Football Game

There is something very spiritual for me about being in a press box and being the public address announcer for a football game. It is like the universe telling me this is your calling to bring joy to others through the use of your God given gift of an announcer voice. From the moment I walk into a stadium until the time I leave I feel a sense of joy come over my body and a feeling of gratitude in my mind, and my soul is nourished with the knowledge that my efforts are making others happy.  As I left the field today (8/25/12) as the Lauderhill Broncos Games were cancelled due to tropical storm Issac I looked to the heavens and asked God for guidance and he guided me right to A Starbucks and  sent the message to write this blog. As I began to write the blog all that I needed started to appear in front of me through searches and I realized that the cancellation of The Lauderhill Broncos games was a blessing as God had other plans for me today.

    Riley Nelson may not be a be a big name star but to those he served in Barcelona on a mission trip he is a hero. Riley Nelson is now a senior at BYU and I know I will be following him this season.

I choose BYU because of their honor code and the fact that many of their players do a mission trip of 2 years. I applaud any player that makes the commitment that BYU asks them to make as they are spreading their beliefs and helping others to come to a spiritual path by seeking salvation in the lord.  BYU’s mission statement is “To assist individuals in their quest for perfection and eternal life. That assistance should provide a period of intensive learning in a stimulating setting where a commitment to excellence is expected and the full realization of human potential is pursued.” While it is strongly encouraged that nineteen year-old Mormon men  and 21 year old women serve a mission, it is not mandatory.

Spiritual Awakening: Expand Through Community Service

As I embarked on a new project, Forest of Angels, which is a program where businesses and organizations sponsor and decorate Christmas Trees and select a charity to represent and compete for the title of Best Decorated Tree I began to think how great it is to expand personally and professionally through community service. The actual event will take place at The Westfield Broward Mall in Plantation, FL from November 17 – December 24.

As  I began to make calls to find sponsors for the trees I felt an energy expand and come over me that created a joy that then enabled me to continue my expansion. As I presented the project and began to state that the tree sponsorships are $1,250.00 I began to get more comfortable. I then realized that the more you give the more you get. It is when you take action and become awake and aware that you begin to expand and grow.

         

In working with charitable causes I have found that making the mind, body, soul connection becomes easier as you truly feel the passion for what you are doing and you begin to realize that what the mind can conceive and the hert can believe you can achieve. As you begin to see the joy you are bringing to the world by being involved in your community you begin to open up channels to receive and your life seems to be flowing better.   I ask what are you passionate about and how can you bring that passion to a community service project.

Spiritual Awakening: What Are You Applauding and Celebrating?

 Kool and The Gang encourages us to celebrate.

I often comment on posts that I applaud and celebrate you and it makes me feel good and helps me to continue to stay centered and grounded. When I see people doing great things to help other I get motivated to continue to shine my light and celebrate the good things in my life. As I celebrate and applaud the good it opens up a realm of possibility that I may not have been aware of.

I am celebrating the opportunity to work with clients who should be applauded for their work as they impact the community that they serve. I applaud www.addictsmom.com, www.feelthehugs.com, and www.forestofangels.com for all they do to make a positive in the lives of others. I celebrate the chance to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays through my involvement with The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of West Boca Raton, schedule d for February 23-24, 2013. I celebrate the opportunity to share my knowledge with others about marketing and media relations.  I celebrate action takers who are making positive choices to improve their life and the lives of others.        When you think of the word Community what does it mean? Think of that for a second. Got it? Hold that thought until the end. In 2012 we are evolving the meaning of Community with social media. Let’s break it down, Community can be defined as a group of people living or interacting in the same  space, and a society that helps each other. In the past, your  interaction with your community ended when you were no longer physically in the same place. Now, thanks to the glories of the interwebs, we  bring our community home and further expand our network beyond the  physical. Indeed, most people find it odd for someone not to have a Facebook account. A normal person functioning in society is believed to be someone that  is engaged in his/her community. Facebook is now part of life and if  you’re not on it then you’re considered to be isolating yourself from  your community. In social media we are interacting and helping each other, whether it is to make a professional connection, find old friends or make new ones, we are expanding our life experience day-in and day-out. The internet is a known space where interactions happen. Think about the last time you were  considering who you should donate to and you saw something come up on a  social media platform posted by a friend. At that moment you experienced a moment of clarity, “OMG, I have to help my friend!” Yes– O-M-G. Not only have we expanded our communities but we have evolved our language as well. ROFL, TTYL and LMAO had no meaning 15 years ago and now you know exactly what they mean and people even use them in verbal communication. What does community mean to me? It means being connected and in 2012, social media is part of how we make that connection. Now you can let go of  that thought you had in the beginning. Share in the comments! Spiritual Awakening: Don’t Wait Do It Now!!!

The following quote is often attributed to Goethe and delivers a great message.  “Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.”

  Life gives us amazing twists and turns along the way. Our path may be altered by the circumstances, however it is when we begin and take action that great things begin to happen. Today I had a great talk with Coach Shantel Springer about the power of beginning and creating value in your services. After I hung up the phone I started to think what are you waiting for you have an idea that has been int he planning stages for awhile allow it to take flight and begin the process. It is by taking action that you begin to step into your greatness.  It is not a matter of when you begin it is that you begin.

Spiritual Awakening: Using The Pause Button

 

This post was inspired by a session I did with someone who kept piling on one issue after another and it became like a massive cd recording so I stated let’s use our pause button and slow down and get to the issues one at a time.  As I began to use waht I call Using The Pause Button I began to realize that most of us all just need to pause from time to time and breathe and thus change how we are dealing with issues. The issues can be resolved when we pause and begin to remove the emotional charges associated with them.

 When we choose to use the pause button we often find what The Big Issue is. Many times it is our own conflict of how we think things should be and how they are. The key is to pause and understand there is a big difference between these and that is when we pause and find tools that can help us overcome the issue. For example you are working for someone and after a few days they send the human resource person over to the site to let you know that in their eyes you aren’t meeting their expectations and they are letting you go.  You get angry and don’t understand, however on your drive home you pause and seek guidance from source/GOD and you realize that this happened as he had bigger plans for you. You then look inside and find that there is a pattern of self sabatoge that you desire to change and you begin to take action steps to change and you soon see better outcomes.

As I was collecting for The American Cancer Society today(6/17/18)  at The Tamarac Cafe Diner I began to think how are my vibes? What vibrational frequency am I giving off? I felt very positive and let my positive energy radiate through out me and onto others. It was amazing what started to occur people began to give and those that did not give were very polite in saying no. I began to observe the actions of many of the people and began to realize that many of the ailments that they suffer go hand in hand with the vibrational pattern that they are giving off.  The experience led me to write this entry How Are Your Vibes?

As I listened to Jim Croce’s Operator I began to think what call are we placing and how are we being perceived when we make the call.  I have a friend Cynthia Segal who helps to place a great call to help people enhance their personal and professional life. She has a site www.redphonetogod.com. She has been named one of the top psychics in the world. When you call her and she makes the special call for you she will give you the messages she receives. Then it is up to you to follow through and take action remembering that Passion + Action = Success.

Spiritual Awakening: Types of Calls

I utilize my phone in many situations and each time befor I dial I get myslef centered and grounded and prepare by asking what call am a I making:

1: The Invitation- The call where you are inviting someone to attend an event. Make sure to explain why it will be beneficial to them.

2: The Donation- The call where you are asking for support of a project or cause. Make sure you touch the heart of the person you are speaking with.

3: The Thinking About You Call.  A short call to remind someone they are important
