Spiritual Awakening: Welcome To The Land Of Believing!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Welcome To The Land Of Believing!!!

So many times as a child we would be told oh that is a pipe dream or that is impossible and we believed that so we put our dreams on the back burner. People would tell us we were living in a land of make believe so we would listen and leave our dreams by the wayside. Then one day we have an epiphany that we can take action and move in the positive direction of our dreams. Once we experience this spiritual awakening we enter the land of believing and realize that the only thing that can hold us back is ourselves. It is when we shift our beliefs from you can’t do that to you can do that and enter the land of believing that we begin to manifest the life that we want. When we stop listening to the haters, the doubters, and the naysayers and say it doesn’t matter what they think or what anyone thinks all that matters is that I believe in me and GOD and I know that I am capable of great things by doing small things with great love that we begin to see a great shift in our lives. When we begin to truly dwell in the land of believing we grow personally, professionally, and spiritually as we tap into our inner divinity thus allowing us to commit to shining our light bright so as to illuminate the world.
When you enter the land of believing it is important to believe in magic. You have a magical ability to manifest the life that you desire. If you can dream about out you can become it is a belief in the land of the believing that has been proven time and time again for what your mind can conceive, and your heart can believe, you can achieve. It takes some work on your part to make the magi happen. There will be some set backs but it is important not to let the set backs become hold backs. IN the land of believing it is necessary to look at the set back as an opportunity to learn and grow thus allowing you to move forward in a positive direction of your dreams. Those dreams may not manifest quickly so be patient and when GOD is ready to deliver on those dreams and turn them into reality GOD will do just that.  In believing in magic and being patient you will begin to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life.

Spiritual Awakening: Doing The Deed!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Doing The Deed!!!

As school started today in South Florida I began to reflect on all the dirty deeds that I did while in high school and the lessons that these deeds contained. From 1979-1983 I was a bit of a rebel and my rebellious actions often landed me in Internal Suspension. This rebellious side also led to many good deeds being done as I was able to reflect and turn the rebellious side into a positive side. It was when I decided to take action and confront my rebellious side that I had an awakening of sorts that kept telling me there must be a better way. As I matured I began to understand that the dirty deeds needed to stop and the good deeds had to take over. By committing then to do good deeds and to be of service and value I began to see a more positive shift in my life. As I began to walk a spiritual path and do what was right in my heart I began to grow and great things started to happen. I was beginning to feel fulfilled as I was helping others and as a result I was helping myself. I began to get recognized for my good deeds. It was when I decided to change that my life began to change. In 1983 I was accepted to 4 colleges, University Of Maryland, American University, Stetson University, and Hofstra University. I chose Hofstra and in The Fall of 1983 I began a journey that would change my life. In 4.5 years I would learn so much about myself and I would see that I was evolving asa spiritual being. My ways of doing things were a bit different and yet highly effective. As I look back on the deeds done in college I can tell you that most of them were good and changed some lives.  In 1989 I joined The Jaycees.Junior Chamber of Commerce and learned a lesson that I use as a mantra today That Service To Humanity Is The Best Work Of Life. One of the things that I learned through out the spiritual awakening process was that we weren’t born to follow.

As I began to embrace the fact  that we were not born to follow that we were born for a purpose and to lead I realized that the best leaders are the ones who allow others to aspire to leadership roles. Some will say that we all ca not be leaders and the truth is that yes we can as we can lead our lives as leaders in our lives that we can do what we believe in our heart and follow our heart. The only two people we have to follow is GOD and yourself. If  we tap into our genius and step into our power we will lead the life that GOD has prepared for us and no one else’s life. So many time we are told what we should do or what we have to do by people that don’t understand that we were not born to follow we were born to stand out. To these people I say I will do what I believe will honor GOD and myself and all will work out in the end as it is divinely planned.  In many cases we must detach ourselves from those who want us to follow and we must take the path that GOD has provided for us. It is when we learn to hold on to our dreams that we are able to understand the plan that GOD has for us and to better follow his plan by doing the deeds he has set out for us.

Spiritual Awakening: Nothing But A Dreamer??? What You Talking About Willis?

Supertramp talks about being a dreamer. Are your the dreamer or the action taker?

Spiritual Awakening: Nothing But A Dreamer? What You Talking About Willis

This post was inspired by  The Supertramp Song, Dreamer as it  talks aboit being a dreamer at first it condems the dreamer and then it embraces the idea of being a dreamer. I added the What You Talking About Willis from the TV Show, Different Strokes, so as to emphasize how important it is to believe in yourself and not let doubters hold you back.  In his poem Hold Fast Your Dreams, Langston Hughes says:

I have used this on several occassions during presentations to illustrate the idea of having dreams. I am reminded of the final scene of The Movie Accepted when the character Bartlebee ask the question What Did You Want To Be? One of the Board Members answered a Flute Player I wanted to play the flute. I began to think why did the man who want to play the flute give up or never pursue it? The reason he bought into the adult mode that dreams are for kids. Dreams are for everyone and you should always encourage the dreamers for it is those that take action on their dreams that succeed and inspire to do the same. Louise Hay, The Founder of Hay House Publishing(an affiliate on this site), shared the follwing in a recent interview with Ray Hemachandra:

Louise Hay Shares insight into how her dream of Ballroom Dancing became a reality.

Ray Hemachandra: I am told you have taken up ballroom dancing.

Louise Hay: Yes, and it is something I started rather late, about two years ago. For whatever reason — for many reasons — I was always frightened of it. I kept saying things like, “I’ll do it in my next lifetime.” Then one day I thought, “That’s pretty stupid!”

I walked past a dance place, and they said, “We teach you to dance one step at a time,” and I thought, “I can do that!” So, I went in. I remember I held my breath the entire first lesson. But I kept going back. The self-help teacher talks about her books, her business, retirement, and the power of thought and word.

One day my teacher said to me, “Louise, I see the fear come into your eyes. Where is it coming from?” I couldn’t answer her, but when I went home, I thought about it. “Where is this coming from?” I thought. “Why am I so frightened of this?”

I got the answer. I felt that if I did it wrong, I was going to be slapped. I thought, “Oh, my, that goes back a long way, and I am still holding on to that!” And this understanding broke it for me.

I went back, and I told her what it was. When I realized what the problem was, that made a whole difference. And then, from there on, we had a lot of fun.
