Spiritual Awakening: Dreamers, Leaders, & Achievers, Which Are You?

Spiritual Awakening: Dreamers, Leaders & Achievers, Which Are You?

As I left Salad Creations in Coconut Creek, Florida and began my drive home I drove through several school zones with children all around and I thought look at theses dreamers, leaders, and achievers. I then began to ask which one are you. My answer cam in the form of a message from source stating you are all three as you dream of creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays, you lead by hosting events to raise funds for The American Cancer Society, and you achieve by moving forward following your passion to positively impact the lives of those you come in contact with keep up the great work. I thanked source and when I arrived home sat down to write this blog to help you answer the question of are you a dreamer, a leader, or an achiever or are you all three.  In most cases we are all three as we dream and then take action to lead and then once we marry passion with action we find success.

Spiritual Awakening: Celebrate Life By Lifting People Up

Spiritual Awakening: Celebrate Life By Lifting People Up

I saw this quote and I immediately thought of the people that will be honored on Saturday 3/24/12 at The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards and how they are lifting up the people in the communities where they live, work and play. Each honoree has an amazing story and by attending the event you will have a chance to meet them and be inspired by them and be lifted by the experience. When we lift up others we also lift ourselves for we celebrate life by lifting people up. Think about it  after a big football game the winning team usually carries a coach off the field on their shoulders. I am figuratively lifing our honorees up on my shoulders to show tem respect and admiration.

Spiritual Awakening: Courage to Finish What You Started

Spiritual Awakening: Courage to Finish What You Started

Today’s post was inspired by the women who was the last to finish The  FIU Triathalon on 3/18 as she exemplified the concept of having the courage to finish what you started. I had gotten word that there was one runner left to come in as I was the announcer and I rallied everyone around the course to encourage the final runner. As the final runner entered the final loop a group of tri-athletes that had already finished the race joined her and I began to encourage the crowd to cheer and they did and when she crossed the line it was amazing to see someone who had challenged herself, pushed her body to the limit, finish what she started. Through out the triathalon I witnessed many inspirational stories of courage like the 65 year old women who set a personal best or the elderly gentleman who completed his first triathalon. The stories that I witnessed were incredible showing that having the courage to finish what you started will propel you to heights beyond your imagination.

Spiritual Awakening: How to Quiet The Mind and Be Productive

As I sat by my pool today reading Rev. Dr. Dee Adio-Moses’ book You’re enough I was visited by an iguana who needed to take a break from his scampering. At first I was startled as I was thinking about a passge from the book about GOD being in us and how you can listen to the small voice whispering to you and guiding you. As I began to quiet my mind the messages aboiut being productive started to flow and I thus my inspiration for today’s entry.

Spiritual Awakening: How to Quiet The Mind and Be Productive

I have often stated that when the mind is quiet you can receive the messages that can lead you to be productive. A few ways to quiet the mind are:

1: Find a quiet place and lay on your back close your eyes and just breathe- This is difficult at first as we are so programmed to rush from one task to the next. We all tend to have what we perceive to be busy lives, however we are a priority and by finding a quiet place to lay down and breathe will help us to improve our health and well being. I usually lay back say GOD is good God is great Ave Marie a few times as I breathe and then I stop and just breathe ignoring any thoughts that come into my head. I do this for about 15 minutes and then I pick up with the task I was working on and move forward in a positive direction.

2: Lay down on your couch after putting on some soothing music or a deep meditation CD and just breathe while listening to the sounds and blocking everything else out.

3: Sit in a  with your barefeet(or with socks) touching the ground and your palms open to the sky and just allow everything to flow.

Spiritual Awakening: Celebrities That  Meditate

Wynonna Judd claims that meditation and quieting the mind has led to her getting healthier, being happier, and increasing her creativity.

Robin Williams, who is known for being very wound up and full of energy says he even finds ways to quiet his mind as it helps him to comeback refreshed and more creative

Spiritual Awakening: Living On A Prayer

Spiritual Awakening: Living On A Prayer

Each time I hear Bon Jovi’s Living On A Prayer and hear “We Will Make It I Swear, Living On A Prayer,” I think yes we will all make it as long as we continue on our path to be a shining light to others.

Having faith and living on  a prayer daily can enhance your personal and professional life. Some ways to live on a prayer are:

1: Say a gratitude prayer every morning when you awake and every night before you sleep

2: Breathe when in the face of adversity

3: Read quotes, bible verses, books that enhance your experience

4: Encourage others

5: Affirm that you are special

One of my favorite prayers follows. What is one of your favorite prayers?

Spiritual Awakening: Overcoming Fear: What is Your Deepest Fear?

Spiritual Awakening: Overcoming  Fear

As I watched the movie Coach Carter and heard him ask what is your deepest fear I began to think, what is it that is holding you back from maximizing your mission? I then thought of the following Marianne Williamson “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

I have had the opportunity to meet many people who have put the fear they had aside annd decided to go for it. One individual that I met recently and applaud and celebrate is Anissa Pfannenstiel who is doing amazing work in the community.

Spiritual Awakening: Inspiration Leads To Fruition

Spiritual Awakening: Inspiration Leads To Fruition

Once you are inspired it is important to act on that inspiration and allow the inspiration to bring your vision to fruition. There will be many trials and tibulations. There will be doubters. There will be successes. There will be supporters. In the end when you are deep into reflection you will realize that it was all well worth it. Think about it it is your vision, your inspiration that is bringing thing to fruition. Have you sat down and wrote out intentions and planned to take some action on those intentions?

One of my visions is fast coming to fruition where as on March 24, 2012 I will be bring people together for The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards. Today I received a proof of what the certificates will look like and I was very pleased. It is an amazing feeling to know that you took action and moved forward in a positive direction and brought something to fruition.

Spiritual Awakening: Staying Alive

Spiritual Awakening: Staying Alive

In 1983 John Travolta starred in a movie Staying Alive. As I watched this video I started to really listen to the lyrics and one thing stood out the lyric “I am far from over.”

As thought about that lyric I began to think how all of us are far from over that we are all on a path to create a better life for oursleves and those around us. We are all staying live by being of service and value to others. When I conceived the idea of The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Award I lookked for and I found people who are keeping dreams alive and helping other to stay alive by creating a nuturing and encouraging community. I was amazed by how many people are helping others to stay alive.

http://youtu.be/f7oEdmZiMsU This link will bring you to a video Staying Alive by The Bee Gees. Everytime I hear this song I get pumped up and I am reminded of my purple parachute pants.Even back than I was interested in helping people to stay alive and helping them to find their passion. What is is that wakes you up and helps you to stay alive?

Spiritual Awakening: Are You A Dreamweaver or Dream Stealer

Are You A Dreamweaver or Dream Stealer ?

How many times have some one approached you with their vision and you thought wow what a concept or that will never work?  How many times have you verbalized your feelings not realizing the impact it would have on that person. Do you consider yourself a dreamweaver, a person who encourages and uplifts people when they share their dreams with you regardless of how far fetched it may seem, or are you a dream stealer, someone who puts down the idea and finds all the reasons it won’t work. As a business and life advisor I like to be a dreamweaver and help people follow their vision. Being a dreamweaver has many rewards one of which is seeing the progress and growth in someone you helped with their vision.

One of my favorites by Langston Hughes that I use often on my radio show, which can be heard on Monday from 7-8 PM EST at www.blogtalkradio.com/thirdeyeradio1, where we talk about emowerment and inspiration with our guests, if you can not tune in live all the shows are archived. I also use this to be a dreamweaver on my Tantalizing Tuesday Teleclasses, which can be heard at 1-605-477-2100 pin 131099 from 7-8 PM EST, where again I have guests that are dreamweavers helping other people excel talk about a myriad of subjects. I am one who walks his talk as I consider myself a dreamweaver.
