Spiritual Awakening: Persistence Breaks Down The Resistance!

Through the spiritual awakening process I have come to learn that persistence breaks down the resistance. I have come to understand that when you plan your work and work  your plan with consistency that you grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. I have come to realize that you may lose a few people along the way because of being persistent however those meant to help and support you and resonate with your message will be attracted to you when GOD deems it necessary to place them along your path.

Be persistent and consistent | 20th quote, Words, Fitness motivation quotesOver the years there have been times when I wanted to quit because things were not going well however I pushed through with persistence and as a result was able to continue to be of service and value to others. The moment I took action to bring projects to fruition I knew that persistence would be a key ingredient. Many times I simply needed to sit down in meditation and consul with the Ascended Masters, GOD, Jesus, and The Angels and the answers I was seeking were given to me so I could continue to awaken and as a result attract more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into my life. It was when I came alive and decided to make changes in my life that I was able to persist in answering my calling thus giving me the opportunity to help my community. In being persistent and walking in your truth you will find that you clear blockages that may be stopping yourself from achieving the greatness that is your birthright.

2020 Gave us all several challenges as it seemed as though our world has been turned upside down however it was those who were persistent and adapted that found success. 2021 has given us a few more challenges and to overcome these challenges it will take persistence and a commit to be the best version of ourselves as possible. We need to be persistent in our quest to lift others so that they will realize they are divine children of GOD and GOD wants them to prosper so they can prosper others. We must be consistent in the effort to realize that we as humans are more alike than different. The time have come for us to set goals and be persistent in achieving them. We need to be persistent in showing kindness and compassion and making sure people see the good that is going on in their communities. Instead of arguing we need to be persistent in uniting and recognizing each others divinity. It is time to realize that we are all unique and that we need to embrace that uniqueness and find ways to respect one another and make our communities a better place.

Now is our time to persist in recognizing that we are people destined to bring bliss and abundance into our lives and into the lives of others. It is the season to make peace, love, and understanding a priority. It is time to persist in being respectful to each other even though we may have different views. It is time to come together and unite by being persistent in doing random acts of kindness. It is time to flood Social Media with good news and build each other up so we can build stronger communities. We can not allow anything to stop us from spreading peace, love, joy, and prosperity wherever we may go.

     Now is your time to find someone to help you in your persistence to improve your life and the lives of others. It is our time to show the world that persistence breaks down the resistance. You are going to encounter doubters, haters, and naysayers so simply hold a special place for them and be  persistent in finding the lifters and the supporters. You will find that when you are persistent you will find the help to turn your limiting beliefs into limitless beliefs. I remember when I told people that I wanted to be a PA Announcer and many said I couldn’t do that because I had no formal training instead I became persistent and any time I had a chance to announce a game I took it. I began to hone my craft to the point where I was confident to reach out to teams and leagues and offer my services. In being persistent I have had the opportunity to work with some great people and have formed a reputation as one of the top PA Announcers in my area. It is when you are persistent that you break down the resistance. Don’t give up continue on your spiritual path. Namaste!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Brace For Impact!!!

When you hear the words brace for impact it normally conjures up the image that something bad is about to happen. How many of you when your read the headline thought oh no here comes a bad story? Well I am here to tell you that this is not a bad story but a story about personal, professional, and spiritual growth. I chose the title as a result of reviewing videos of me announcing sporting events, emcee charitable events, interview people for a TV Show that I used to host, and some speeches I delivered. I was reflecting and then began to read comments and began to understand the impact that I have been making by being of service and value to others. Despite some setbacks over the years I have been able to move forward and positively impact the lives of others. Though I may not have gotten recognition for this impact I know in my heart that I took the proper action to show people that service to humanity is the best work of life.

Spiritual Awakening: Shut Up And Deal!!!

As I left The Relay Rally to benefit The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise last night (1/30/2018) I was a bit disappointed as only 1 team out of the 16 that were registered came out and no one that I had invited showed up. I was feeling pretty down because I had put in many hours to promote the event and even had the Mayor Of Sunrise issue a Proclamation. As I reflected on this disappointment I sat in meditation and received a message to shut up and deal. As an  action taker I have learned that you must detach from the outcomes and continue to walk in your truth knowing that you can not control the actions of others. As I began to focus on the good things that happened like a team captain getting a nice recognition gift and a cancer survivor winning The Relay Sneakers I the disappointment started to melt like the polar ice caps and my heart started to fill with elation knowing that there are people who care so I decided to shut up and deal.
As I decided to shut up and deal I quickly regained the eye of tiger and remembered why I was doing Relay For Life. I was able to rekindle a spark inside and walk in my truth understanding that all I could do was give 100% and continue to follow my heart making a mind, body, soul connection. In focusing on the successes and getting back to being focused and grounded I have been able to shut up and deal. As you put yourself out there you will encounter some set backs but you must shut up and deal and learn from the setbacks so you can step up.

When you decide to shut up and deal and peel back the onion you will find that you rise up to heights that you never though that you could reach. In the wake of disappointment I was able to shift and find elation knowing that for in my 19 years of being involved in Relay For Life that I made a positive impact on the lives of those touched by cancer. There have been more moments of joy than moments of disappointment. When disappointments occurred I simply reflected and then let them go as I knew there would come more joy than sadness.
I have found the best way to overcome disappointment and shut up and deal is to simply walk alone and tap into your inner divinity understanding that you are a divine child of GOD and GOD’S plans for you are far greater than the plans you have for yourself. In walking alone and clearing out the disappointment you release blockages and thus you can move forward by focusing on lies ahead of you and not what lies behind you.
The key to overcoming disappointment and to shut up and deal is to commit to staying on your spiritual path and walking in your truth understanding that not everyone will share your passion and that your ways of doing things may not resonate with everyone. In being true to who you are and following the messages from GOD, The Ascended Masters, The Angels, and Jesus you will find that disappointment is fleeting. In committing to move forward you will find that you begin to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life.
In the course of the day the best laid plans of mice and men will go astray and when that happens you have to simply roll with the flow. I have come to understand that the way things are and the way things should be are two different things. As I arrived to The ACSOffice Today(1/31/2018) to drop off money for The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise there was a note that the office would be closed. I was a bit upset as I had informed the staff partner that I would be coming today and didn’t get word from him that the office would be closed. At first I was upset then I decided to go with the flow and come back to the office tomorrow (2/1/2018). I have come to realize that I can only control what I do and to shut up and deal by rolling with the flow. In going with the flow I have been able to put disappointment behind me and move forward in a positive direction of my dreams. There will be times that challenge you but remember that it is through overcoming challenges that you become stronger and thus you are able to accomplish great things. Spiritual Awakening: All You Need Is A Little Bit of Heart And Soul!!!

The year was 1987 and I was getting ready to graduate from Hofstra University. Heart and Soul was one of the top songs that year and it became an anthem of mine. As I sat in the Hofstra Gymnasium waiting for my name to be called it occurred to me that as long as I put a little bit of heart and soul into all I was going to do that things would turn out okay. As I continue on my spiritual journey I understand more and more that it takes a bit of heart and soul to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. Many times it is just a matter of going forward with an idea regardless of what others might say about the idea and understanding that if you put your heart into what you are doing and you create a oneness consciousness that everything will work out for the best. I have come to understand that it is important to conceive it in your mind and to believe it in your heart so that you can achieve it. If you are an avid reader of this blog you know the concept that I preach which is passion+ action = success. When you put your heart and soul into anything people will sense your passion and will vibrate on the same level with you and as a result support you. There will be those who will not resonate with you for they are not ready to walk the path that leads to spiritual enlightenment. When you encounter these people simply remember it is not your job to drag them kicking and screaming onto the path but it is your job to keep putting your heart and soul into what you are doing and to shine your light bright to illuminate the world understanding that when they are ready they will experience their own spiritual awakening. When you embrace the spiritual awakening process and put your heart and soul into everything you do there will be no stopping you.
When you become heart centered and make the commitment to put your heart and soul into everything that you do you will see that you are unstoppable. Remember that you are a divine child of GOD and GOD wants you to prosper. As you become more loving and caring you will begin to attract loving and caring people into your life who will lift you to heights that you never thought possible. Many times we are told that something is impossible when in reality when you break the word down it says I am possible. When you start to put your heart and soul into things you being to see the realm of endless possibilities.  Recently someone said that a group couldn’t raise $7,000 in 2 days and reach a milestone. I piped up and said yes it can be done all you have to do is believe and take action. Guess what the goal of raising $7000 in 2 days was achieved because people put their heart and soul into the effort and began to believe that people would help.

Spiritual Awakening: I Got Your Limits Right Here!!!

 As many of my regular readers know I have a bit of a New York Edge about me as I spent 4 1/2 years at Hofstra University in Long Island NY, and I developed an attitude of I can do anything and you will not get in my way. I would often answers people I got your limits right here you gotta a problem with that. One of the things that I learned was that those who said it can’y be done were coming from a position of fear instead of abundance. I have often done things differently than others and many don’t understand. I was recently called on the carpet by The American Cancer Society for actions that I took to raise money for The Sunrise Relay For Life. I have done well so far with my methods and raised $768 toward a goal of $1000. My Donation Page is http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg4. I was told that a few patrons at Legends complained about me going table to table to collect donations. I had obtained permission from The GM and in a matter of a 1/2 hour collected $34 and was able to share Relay For Life literature with many people. I had one lady give me a hug and thank me for giving her the 1-800-acs-2345 number. Of course the executive director didn’t bring this up and focused on the patron that complained. I simply took a deep breath and realized that she didn’t understand that when you go table to table with the permission of a GM you will have some people who complain heck there are some people who will complain about anything. She said you should have arranged to set up a table and allowed people to come to you. As I have been doing fundraising for over 35 years I have found that having a table is not the most effective way to fundraise. I have found the most effective way is to go person to person with literature and make the ask. Some will complain and some will give that is simply the nature of what goes with fundraising.  It was at this point that I thought I GOT YOUR LIMITS RIGHT HERE!!! I didn’t verbalize this as I realized that taking the conversation any further would be like wrestling a pig in the mud you both would get dirty but the pig would enjoy it. I have learned that when working with organizations there will be people who come from a position of lack and those who come from a position of abundance. I have also come to understand that many people have limiting beliefs and tell you why you can’t do something and focus on why it can not be done instead of finding a way to do it. I have come to learn that if someone is going to get upset because I asked them for a donation it is about them and has nothing to with me. When you take action and declare I got your limits right here you will encounter those who will doubt you, try to block you, and limit you. When you encounter these people all you can do is listen, take a deep breath, and then pray that one day they will go from limiting beliefs to limitless beliefs. I have learned that when you have limitless beliefs nothing can stop you.

When you find others who are willing to tell the world I got your limits right here embrace them and become a lifter so as to build dreams together. The key is to find the people who share in your vision and understand that we are all limitless and that we have talents that when used for the betterment of the world the world is improved as well as our personal, professional, and spiritual lives. When you believe that nothing is going to stop you you will become limitless. When we are determined to move forward in a positive direction of our dreams nothing is going to stop you and nothing will break your stride.

Spiritual Awakening: Moving On Up!!!

 

 How many people remember The Jefferson’s?  This show taught us an important principle in the spiritual awakening process. The principle that regardless of where you move or how many times you move if you do not change your issues from where you were will follow you to where you are. We also learned that we must accept the fact that wherever we move if we do not eliminate that which doesn’t serve us we will encounter the same issues that we had before. We also learned that we can make breakthroughs if we commit to changing ourselves and accepting that which we can not change.  One lesson I took from the show is that the only thing that can stop you is yourself.

In making the commitment to not allow anything to stop you one sees that they have a talent that the world is waiting for and now is the time to awaken and answer the calling. In answer the calling one begins to move on up and find that there are many who will nurture you and support your dreams and there is nothing that can stop up. In not allowing anything to stop you you will find that you are walking on sunshine.
When we make the conscious decision to walk on sunshine we begin to put in motion everything that will create the opportunities for us to move on up. I remember when I was a competitive swimmer and it was raining, no lighting or thunder so the meet went on. I was walking to the starting block and I was smiling and my coach said what are you smiling at and I turned and said coach because it is only water and I am already wet. He laughed and while my fellow competitors were trying to stay dry I embraced the liquid sunshine and laughed and as a result I swam one of my best times and won my race and my team won the meet. It was in adopting a different attitude that I was able to move on up and embrace the inner sunshine that was inside in of me. In embracing this inner sunshine I also found an eye of the tiger that has allowed me to move on up in all my endeavors.
